Craft Fair in Tarvin on Saturday 29th October 10am — 3pm
Once again it is the season of the Craft Fair. Are you looking for that special present this Christmas? Come along to Tavin Methodist Church and have a good browse round the eighteen quality stalls that will be there between 10am and 3pm. There will be Christmas decorations in fabric, glass and wood, contemporary jewellery, scarves, bird tables, willow sculptures, needlework, quilted baby gifts and turned wooden items. There will be children's sweaters, craft kits, felt and knitted items, wooden and recycled material crafts and cards for all occasions. There will be cakes and preserves, and the George Heath Foundation stall. Tom Cronin, a year 11 pupil at Tarporley High School, will be at the front of chapel, taking orders for log delivery and selling driftwood items. The money he raises will allow him to travel to Borneo next August with 'Camps International' and, while there, he hopes to "help to complete life-changing work with local people". Admission is free, there will be a raffle and of course there will be refreshments (including JD's rightly famous Sausage and bacon baps) available all day. Will he run out of bacon again? Come and watch the drama unfold! All are welcome!
